I am having the EXACT same problem as above -- I could have written it,
including the updating from 8.10 to 9.04. My locale is France so A4
paper is obligatory but no matter how many times I set it, it doesn't
seem to stick and the next time I'm there (to check why it printed
badly) it's almost
I am having the same problem. When I selected Legal size it chops off
text at the top about 1.5 inches. A4 size seems to print ok. This
happens on openoffice and pdf document viewer. I've tested with hp
laserjet (foo2zjs) 1020 and hp laserjet 2015 (hpijs).
This seems work fine with Ubuntu 8.10 so

Scratch what I said above about other apps printing fine. I just tried
to print a test page and this was also printed off the top of the page.
