it would be nice to be able to use HPET and have suspend/resume working. is there an issue with the RTC driver in the current kernel? for now I just don't use suspend/resume. btw I have a Dell Vostro 1000, bios 2.6.3, running U9.10 x64 -- [Dell Inc. Vostro 1000] suspend/resume failure

So, After looking at this page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/SuspendResumeTesting/Feedback it seens hpet=disabled solved the resume problem for some people. I tried it here and now my system can resume without any fuzz :D For the records, I've also tried a stock 2.6.29.3 kernel and the

Another report: I disabled HPET in my BIOS and everything works like a charm, without the need of aditional kernel parameters. I know that from the POV of the kernel disabling in the BIOS is the same as hpet=disable, but I just wanted to post this experiment :) -- [Dell Inc. Vostro 1000]
