it would be nice to be able to use HPET and have suspend/resume working.
is there an issue with the RTC driver in the current kernel?
for now I just don't use suspend/resume.

I disabled HPET in my BIOS and everything works like a charm, without the need
of aditional kernel parameters.
I know that from the POV of the kernel disabling in the BIOS is the same as
hpet=disable, but I just wanted to post this experiment :)
