Well, we should be focusing one issue per bug report; this one had two
separate issues and the main one (switch user) is solved, so please file
a new bug for the hibernation issue. That sounds like it may be a
kernel bug.

I updated packages from
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates/ \
and updated kernel to 30 rc3. Now switch user works and hibernation fails. It
tries to hibernate , bur throws some error messages like failed to freeze
devices
