I confirm the same issue with dell mini 9 and Adata sdhc 16GB card. There is
workaround:

but then it automount the card after each standby and pops up nautilus
window.

I have had the same problem using a 16GB adata SD card on an aspire one.
I did a clean install of 9.04 and it doesn't recognise the SD card. If
I boot off the 8.10 live cd, it is detected and works perfectly.

longer present in the Panel and can not be added. Inserting a SD-card
into a DELL Mini-9 goes unrecognized, before with 8.10 I saw the SD card
in the panel and could dismount it and remount it.
