Switch Desktop Mode corrupted settings

9.04 Netbook remix - switching to 'classic view' and rebooting, causes Gnome
Desktop to crash.
I am having this same issue. Only I thought it was due to switching
while having some apps open during the switch (pidgin and firefox)
because during switch with apps open I got some odd errors. I know, newb
move to just have some odd errors without anything specific. I figured
switching back
