Public bug reported: In Mint 6.0, based on Ubuntu 8.10, after installation the system automatically found a working, proprietary driver to load for the ATI Xpress 1250. Using this OR the open driver was great. Admittedly, the overall look/feel wasn't as good as the open is on 9.04, and the catalyst control center was buggy (could not dual screen like I can now), but right now I get unstable screen flicker 1-3 times every 5 seconds...almost as if a mini power surge is going through the computer.
Additionally, I'm unable to run any 3d rendering or Compiz, which I was before.
