package python2.5-minimal 2.5.4-1ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess

Is this still an issue? If so can you please add the contents on
/etc/python/debian_config?
Thanks

Adam, thanks for your reply. This is still an issue. I get the same
error every time I update.
The contents of /etc/python/debian_config are as follows:
[DEFAULT]
# how to byte-compile (comma separated: standard, optimize)
byte-compile = standard
--
package python2.5-minimal 2.5.4-1ubuntu4
Thanks for that, looks like that was a red herring. Could you also try
the following:
$ export PYCENTRAL=debug
$ sudo apt-get install
Then attach the contents of /var/log/pycentral.log ?
Thanks

package python2.5-minimal 2.5.4-1ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess
I ran both commands as instructed.
However, the resulting var/log/pycentral.log is empty!
The output of sudo apt-get install was:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer
Please help me fix this. This python 2.5 problem has plagued me for so
long
Following some advice elsewhere I tried running:
sudo dpkg -r --force-depends python2.5-minimal
followed by
sudo apt-get -f install
The output is:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
