Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
The notification mechanism for Firefox background security updates is not sufficiently obvious to users. In Jaunty a dialog box appears stating restart is required but no details of the consequences if not taken. If the request is ignored or hidden under various windows the user may not be aware or have forgotten about the action. The Firefox window should be modified itself to alert the user of its now limited function state, preferably with some steps taken to limit the actions the user can take or make it more obvious when errors occur instead of actions like navigation to pages or creating new tabs just silently fail. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Firefox instability after security update, before restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369012 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
