I agree that the symptoms are the same as 383670. I discovered that I
also had google-calendar-provider installed. Deinstalling that made
thunderbird work even with my old profile and lightning-extension.
(Actually, reinstalling the calendar-google-provider still works now). I

The same happens to me now with jaunty - did work fine the last months
though but now it immediately gives segmentation fault in the terminal
while lightning is enabled.

I have the same in Jaunty since today (used to work finefore be). It
segfaults immediately on thunderbird startup when I have the lightning-
extension installed. Thunderbird starts up just fine if I uninstall
lightning-extension.
