I'm not shure but it should be 'radeon'.
The 'xorg.conf' is 0 B, nothing in it.
How can I find out?
Same problem after a lot of reinstallation!
I have not activated the fglrx cause of big problems with it...

I reinstalled all openoffice packeages - same problem.
But I found a simple trick:
I open the info and move the pop-up window over all missing cells - et voilà,
all is right! ;-)
Or on long tables is the easiest to scroll down and up so they are here
(but only where IN the cells is something!)
Which video driver are you using?

I can't reproduce the problem that I see in your screenshot by opening
the document 'new.ods' that you provided.
Does moving/removing the ~/.openoffice.org* directories help resolve
this issue?

Sorry, that was a missunderstanding.
Not the data is missing - the cells itself got lost (as you can see on
'Bildschirmfoto3.png)
Sometimes it's a small band across the spreadsheet, sometimes all from
ABC...Z 174 til the end.
The attachment is my new.ods as an photo.
