Yes, I have brother-cups-wrapper-laser version 2.0.1-2-0ubuntu5 now.
With this new version the printer works again, so I'm almost happy: the
first printed page always fails to print and gives an error message, but
that's another bug report.

Did you try the brother-cups-wrapper-laser package from multiverse,
according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BrotherDriverPackaging it should
support the Brother DCP 7025 printer.
