I think that saving the settings in ccsm is a workaround for this
problem. I remember that a couple of days ago I was surprised that many
plugins were loaded which I explicitly disabled in my configuration.
After making the required settings and exporting the configuration to
file the settings

I discovered more specific details on that.
Currently I noticed 2 plugins that do not work properly.
1. Desktop Wall/Expo/Viewport Switcher (not sure which one of them).
I deleted the ~/.config/compiz/compizconfig/Default.ini file, all other
settings dropped, but it still was unable to save
And yes, I tried switching to GConf, same thing - animation type for
desktop switching is not saved.
