Here is the reference to the bug I have reported.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/365401
Global shortcut for KWin 'meta (alt) + backtab' for switching desktops back
does not work. It operates equal to 'backtab'. In KDE 4.2.1 it has been ok.

KWin reports wrong version number
I have the behavior on two systems. As far as I know the bug with shift-
backtab should be resolved in kwin 4.2.3 but it isn't. I'm a little bit
confused about that. What version is installed?

If apt-cache policy says kwin in 4.2.3, then it really is. Most likely
the KWin dudes just didn't bump the version number this time around.

You
And what about the kwin bug 'dm' is talking about? (dm, could you please
provide bug number?) Isn't it possible that Ubuntu team compiled 4.2.2
and marked it 4.2.3? Cause AFAIK what apt-policy says is not really KWin
version number but it is .deb package version number that the packager
provided.
I don't know a 'bug number' or something else but I get the following
message after a 'kwin -v':
Qt: 4.5.1
KDE: 4.2.3 (KDE 4.2.3)
KWin: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2)
I think KWin should give me a 4.2.3 too!

You're writing about bug with shift-backtab, so I thought you could
provide some reference to the bug (in Launchpad or KDE bugzilla).
