Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

Ubuntu 9.04 & the version of GNOME with it has always been very stable
till the last 2 to 3 days.

When it crashes:
a) Only the mouse pointer moves but clicking does not work.

b) The internet L.E.D. blinks. Waiting for a few minutes does not help.

Now its crashing quite often.

I've not been able to put a finger to it. I dont know if a particular
application to blame. I am not using anything different than what I used
when it was stable.

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using,
Ubuntu 9.04

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename'
or by checking in Synaptic.
W: Unable to locate package packagename

3) What you expected to happen
Expected the rock solid stability of Ubuntu 8.10 & the GNOME version with that.
Hardly ever crashed in months.

4) What happened instead
Crashing too often.
