1) Ubuntu release 8.04.02
2) Package version 3.0.10+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.01 archive.ubuntu.com hardy

3) What I expected to happen is that after the first time I load Firefox it 
would remember all of my personal settings changes in "Preferences".
4) What happens instead is that Firefox thinks it's an initial brand new 
installation every time I load it up with no memory of changes last made. It 
always boots up the ubuntu start page, welcome to .....
