Public bug reported: Wireless doesn't work consistently under Karmic (nm-applet doesn't detect wireless networks), but I know my hardware works, because I dual- boot Vista. The strange thing is the intermittent nature of failures; sometimes I'll turn my computer on, and I have wireless, but most of the time nm-applet doesn't detect any wireless networks, and 'ifconfig' won't even list my wireless interface.
>From 'lspci' I have: """ Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Network Connection (rev 02) """ The install is x64. Any pointers would help. I had the same problem in Jaunty, precipitating the move to Karmic (thinking it might be fixed). Now I'm considering returning to Intrepid. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: karmic ** Tags added: karmic -- wireless networks not detected - Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/405656 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
