Indeed, this one has been fixed for a little while now. The reason it
worked in our 3.6.10 build is because I backported the patch

I was going to say that this might be fixed in the just-released Firefox
3.6.11, thanks to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327323
(see comment 61 in that bug), but I can open the attachment in comment
#1 without a problem on Ubuntu 10.10, with Firefox 3.6.10 and
xulrunner-1.9.2
