Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Ubuntu 9.10 (updated on 21/10/09)
Laptop : Dell Inspiron 9400 (Centrino Duo 2GHz, 2go memory, Nvidia 7900GS...)

happened result : When the volume is minimum, I don't hear any sound
(its normal). When I increase the volume, I doesn't hear anything. When
the volume increasing go over a threshold, the sound works suddenly high
! Moreover, this sound works only on the subwoofer, and not on the main
speakers.

expected result : When I increase the volume progressively, the sound
should be increased progressively, and on all my speakers. Note that
this problem doesn't appear on the headphones.

When playing a sound on my laptop, the sound works well on the headphones, but
not on the laptop's speaker. When I increse the volume, it doesn't increase
progressively but jerkily. Moreover, the sound plays on the subwoofer speaker
and not on the main speakers.
