Thanks for reporting this bug, and helping make Ubuntu better. I have
added a note about the smbpasswd command to revision 552, and the -N
switch was added to a previous revision.

Also, it never mentioned that I needed to run smbpasswd as the user that
is used to add machines to the domain before it would work.
