I agree this is more than Wishlist. What it needs is a properly-
configured default mimeTypes.rdf file for a start, plus a way to add
additional types without having to hand-edit the mimetypes.

no application selector when opening an undefined attachement
This happens to me with MP4 attachments (see hopefully relevant part of
the raw email included below.) I only get the option to save the
attachment to disk, but I can't open it from within TB. (This has been
working just fine in TB 2.x.)
In Preferences - Attachments, there are five pre-defined
Should this be merely of Wishlist importance? After all, this is a
regression from TB 2.x.
