I was tempted to move this to Invalid, however I'm going to leave it as
Incomplete for the time being...
First the bad news... right now, WiMax is 100% unsupported in Ubuntu and
NetworkManager.
Moblin supports it, because Intel created and continues to drive the
Moblin project. Intel
wmx0 just shows Auto wmx0. wlan0 shows available access points. WiFi
works fine.

OK, I checked with upstream, and the behavior you're seeing right now
wrt to the wmx0 device is expected. This should improve with Lucid.
