I've installed the debian source package, but every time I run
sudo module-assistant auto-install sl-modem-source
the debian package is remplaced by sl-modem-
source_2.9.10+2.9.9d+e-pre2-5build1_i386.deb
Could anyone build a correct package for edgy please :)

That patch isn't going to fly. MODULE_PARM was deprecated in 2003 and
marked obsolete in 2004.
Eduard just uploaded a new release to Debian unstable.
