Firefox shows plug-in version 9.0 r115
upgraded the flash player using the download from adobe.
sudo dpkg -i install_flash_player_10_linux.deb
Firefox keeps showing plug-in as version 9.0 r115 but the problem seems
solved !

Freezes never happened to me when NoScript is disabled. But I do not
understand how a Firefox extension can make the whole system (!) freeze.
Not even the SYSRQ keys work.

Can someone test this with a new profile to see if this is in fact due
to an extension? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If
this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-
enable them one by one until you find the problematic one (which may be
NoScript
I think I am getting this bug. I think it has to do with the NoScript
extension for Firefox. I can reliably duplicate it on some sites with
video, but not others. This one causes the problem every time:

I'm unsure (without more info) if Firefox is to blame or if it should be a
flash bug.
If apport collect doesn't give any helpful info please at least run the
following commands:
apt-cache policy firefox flashplugin-installer flashplugin-nonfree
lsb_release -a
uname -a

please let us know if something happened when you tried to run apport-
