I got the same problem than Bernard since tonight, but me, it's not a virtual
machine, it's my real partion of Ubuntu 10.04..
I'm so confused! I have the same error message; Your CPU appears to be lacking
expected security protections.

There is a bug linked to virtual box : every version of ubuntu 10.4
desktop (beta1, beta2, rc) I tried on Virtual 3.0.8 refused to install
(freeze at the beginning) and with Virtual 3.1.4 it seems to install
correctly
