I'm experiencing this as well. The linux installation seems to be
completed. There's no way to get to a console or anything else. There is
no response to key presses and mouse clicks don't do anything either.
Wubi just sits at a purple background with a mouse cursor and nothing
happens. The login
Apparently the installation wasn't complete -- I rebooted, pressed ESC
for boot options, and picked safe mode instead of normal. Then the
installation actually finished.
Now I can log in, but I end up with a blank screen with a purple
background image as described in the original bug.
