@Chris Please keep the bug open while the situation is under
investigation. I'm e.g. talking to Rene to try to figure out if
openoffice.org can be split further (into -core-core or something) so
that the pre-depends is less invasive.

I discussed a bit with Rene what could be done to avoid the pre-depends
on openoffice.org-core.
One idea I have is to add a new dir like (whatever name suits best):
/usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.2/components/
/usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.2/registered-components/

Is there anything I should do on the openoffice.org side of things, or
just close out this bug since you are working around the apt issue in
update-manager?
Thanks,
Chris

Adding a OOo task as it appears that removing that a workaround is to
redo the OOo pre-depends.

A alternative workaround appears to be to add a explicit libxml2
depends to the pre-depends of openoffice.org-evolution. That appears
to be a bug in the pre-depends ordering where it sometimes does not do
it recursively properly.

The workaround is only partially good, the next error is that
libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0 gets configured before
libgstreamer0.10-0 is ready. So it just shifts the problem.

I just tested the upgrade when force-removing openoffice.org-
evolution, openoffice.org-emailmerge, openoffice.org-filter-
binfilter and it works just fine then.
So another possible workaround is to remove them on upgrade and put them
back later (ugly, but…)
