Title:
SD Card Reader shows Incomplete / Corrupt
The same here on HP dv6-2180ey. The last kernel version card reader worked
normal was 2.6.33.7-maverick x86_64
The thing is, that on debian or fedora it does not work even on older kernels.

But on other machines and operating systems the files on the same card are
perfectly fine.

fine with kernel 2.6.32-25-generic.
When i insert the SD Card the system launches the automount, then when i

Frustrated with 10.10!
Yeah, seems to be affecting HP Pavilion dv6XXX Laptops, with 4 reports
now. Yes, the old kernel / 10.04 works fine with the SD Card Reader.
I now have quite a few issues with 10.10, and some ongoing unresolved
ones that were also present in previous releases.

Pretty much the same happens on my HP pavilion dv6 1280-us with Ubuntu 10.10.
However, nautilus or anything else doesn't crash, the pictures on the card are
just corrupted. The reader worked fine with 10.04.
Please ask for any more details you need.

SD Card Reader shows Incomplete / Corrupt
Hey, does anyone have any ideas about this?
The problem can't be too complicated as the SD card reader worked
perfectly in 10.04, 9.10 and 9.04, and I think even as far back as 8.10
as I've been running a stable system since then.
Is there anymore information I can provide about my

Ok, started the crash report with Apport but the bug was something
like 'nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV..' which already had many entries
from other people so I didn't log it.

How do I report the crash with apport?
Also, Nautilus auto opens when the SD card is inserted and immediately
closes. You then have to restart it, before looking at the file
structure and going into the problems I described in the bug report.

An additional problem has emerged: Opening some files on the SD card
