Hi Nicola,
I don't think the new syncdaemon (which is not ready yet) will be
available for older versions of Ubuntu. The older versions of Ubuntu
will only accepts fixes for bugs, this issue (despite not being minor)
is not a bug fix but a performance issue.
The fixes will be available in Natty

finished his work and I can say you that the memory used is 141.8 MB.
It's not very proportional to the number of GB uploaded or the number of
files.

Yes, we currently have two not minor issues related to this that will be
solved during this cycle (that is, will be released in the next Natty
ubuntu):
* The load of metadata is a hard-intensive operation and yes, is not as fast
as it should be.

What I have noticed is that it reads a lot of information from the
~/local/share/ubuntuone/syncdaemon/fsm/
which seems to take a few minutes (~8min with 2-4%). Then it shifts over to do
a local rescan of my files which uses 98-100% cpu for a minute or two. In total
it takes about 10min for

u1sdtool --status command I receive the queues status = IDLE. So I'm
sure that all my stuff is synchronized. I have applied your command
