Pardon my ignorant question, but: do people working on the Linux kernel
test it on several different machines (including the highly popular Asus

critical bug such as this made it into the Ubuntu Mint release ISOs.

it seems kernel-team don't want to release a new kernel without good

I have used Natty Desktop i386 ISO
Heya,
From your cat, your system currently has:
cat /proc/version Returns:
Linux version 2.6.38-6-generic
Which is release number 38, Release candidate 6.
RC8 was made available:
Mon, 7 Mar 2011
http://lwn.net/Articles/431999/
but it looks like there's a slight lag as
RC 7 only just made it
Thanks!
I was starring at the ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-6.34-generic
2.6.38-rc7 from the apport report, but i guess that the rc7 are the Ubuntu rc
number.
It all makes better sense now, thanks a lot!.
So if there are ath9k fixes in rc8, we will just sit tight and wait to
see if it
