Logging into Flickr using a Google account isn't yet supported.
Supporting this will likely involve a move to using OAuth / OpenID as
Shotwell Connect's authentication mechanism. We have this task ticketed
upstream here: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/3445.

I have upgraded Shotwell to version 0.10 and it works fine, for
authentications using an yahoo account. I tried to log in to Flickr
using my Google account, but the button doesn't work.

I'm also having the same problem.
when signing into Flickr from shotwell
the only elements that are responsive are the Yahoo! ID and Password entry
boxes
all other links and buttons are completely unresponsive. Including the cancel
button

we fixed this bug in Shotwell 0.10, which was released just yesterday.
I suggest you upgrade to 0.10. The Shotwell web site will tell you how
to do that:

The Flickr login page is actually a web page that's being displayed
inside of Shotwell. This is all possible because of a software package
called WebKit. Because Shotwell relies on WebKit render web pages in its
windows, this sounds like a WebKit problem. Indeed, I just tried to
