The case in the config file supplied by Kaleo was correct for my computer. Both
cat /var/lib/acpi-support/system-product-name
and
dmidecode --string system-product-name
yield LIFEBOOK S7110 with all capital letters on my up-to-date feisty. I
don't know what the difference between our notebooks

I had the same problem on a Fujitsu-Siemens C1410 with i915 chipset and I just
uncommented the line that as default said # SAVE_VIDEO_PCI_STATE=true
It now works as it should. Great!
