I booted my pc from a live pen with the latest ubuntu release (12.04),
installed all the updates and then tried to replicate the bug, and I
managed to do that anytime I suspended the laptop and restarted my
session.

Hello! Thank you for the interest in this bug! It still affects me,
though I haven't upgraded to the latest release yet. Can I try from a
live pen and expect the behavior to be equal to the one I would have if
I had installed the system?

Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images

If I wait some hours to resume from suspend the issue doesn't happen. I
can only replicate it if I suspend then resume in less than one or two
hours.
