This is not a wishlist bug. On edgy the behaviour is as expected: * Open the Connect to Server dialog * Select Service type Windows share * Enter Server, Share, User Name, Name to use for connection * Click Connect - on edgy, the Name to use for connection appears in the Places menu immediately
