Daniel, you are welcome to file a new bug if you think Suspend needs to be more prominent. This bug isn't a good fit since GNOME Shell is quite a bit different now than it was 6 years ago when it was first release. For the average user using a laptop, a Suspend button doesn't seem necessary to me
