updated with the release of Ubuntu 11.10 - I'm fixing it right now.

I followed your instructions.
ISO file corresponding to Ubuntu 11.10 seems to be corrupted..
I could not find de MD5SUM in the list - but I also noticed that release 11.04
was the most recent there..

would appear that the CD image (ISO file) you downloaded could be
corrupt. There is an easy way to verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO
files you download.
