If you are used to the shell, then you can start the command in a shell

Hi, the upstream info on this bug is a bit incorrect. Remmina moved to github,
so the sourceforge tracker doesn't appear to be used any more. I don't see a
corresponding bug logged in their new tracker:

same here... my 1TB harddisk is not enough for a workday with remmina
errors... a simple workarround would be great...

what I've done... I thought logrotate, with the copytruncate option,
might be a reasonable hack to address that rapidly growing ~/.xsession-
errors file. (BTW, I'm running Xubuntu 11.10). Unfortunately, the out-

that trying to delete the .xsession-errors file will not recover the
free space. This is due to how linux/unix handles deletions through
unlink such that the space is not freed until the every process with a
file handle to
However, if you have tried to delete the file and do need to free the
space without logging out or restarting, for example when you have open
documents that need saving and there is no more free disk space this
should work:
find /proc/*/fd -type l -lname '*.xsession-errors*' 2 /dev/null
