Public bug reported: It was once possible to build libraw only as a static library. A few releases ago libraw changed to support both static and shared libraries. Currently in Ubuntu both libraw.a and libraw.so are packaged in the libraw-dev package. Instead, libraw.so should live in a separate non- development package that can be used by applications.
