This bug is causing serious problems.
My son is using libreoffice on Ubuntu for school work. The school
requires papers to be submitted in .doc format (yes, I know that sucks).
When he saves as .doc, text around the endnote references gets
arbitrarily converted to superscript.
Opening the
oops -- that should read stray endnote tags around a block of text.
I suspect these get into the document when endnotes are added then
deleted, then text gets added back in.
Did I mention I hate wysiwig editors where you can't actually see all
the formatting that is going on?

John Gill, this bug report is not about how the document looks exporting
to .doc but how if one clicks immediately after superscript footnote 1
and begins to type, the characters are not superscript.
If you are having a problem with exporting from LO, please execute the
