The pulse have the card with the configuration:
Analog Stereo.Duplex
It seems a problem with the kernel.
With the kernel 2.6.32 works fine with ubuntu 9.10.
I tried ubuntu 9.10 with kernel 3.x and the internal microphone didn't
work. (Many checks: installing the kernel 3.0.0-r4 manually,
