What I do have is a USB keyboard, maybe that't what the USB disconnect

Touchpad stops working after
Does this happen reproducibly? Does your monitor connection also include
an USB connector (often they have a builtin hub)? I see some USB
disconnects in the log, and wonder if that is from the touchpad (which
might be internally wired through USB) or from the monitor.
