Can you give details about how the fix for fontconfig works? Did you add
a switch for enabling and disabling preferred (sub)families for example?

As mentioned a few times above, not seeing condensed fonts is is a Qt
issue, not a DejaVu one. Marking the ttf-dejavu component invalid.
