Hey ALL:
I wanted you to know that inadvertently sent the apport-collect information
from the wrong machine. The very last report you should have on the case is
the last one, which is from the correct machine.
My apologies, I have 3 ubuntu machines right now and sometimes I get them
mixed up.

Matt,
thanks for the response, yes, I will get you a set of screen shots. On that
note I'm using the tool built into the system on a fresh install from the
applicationsothernetwork tool menu item.
I know this is a big screenshot but it shows the details etc.
Let me know how else I can assist
Sorry about that, let me attach the screenshot instead.

Okay, a few more questions:
1) Your report mentions 12.04, 11.04, and then 11.10. Which version are
you using?
2) The issue as it seems to me is that gnome-nettool, aka Network
Tools shows you have eth0 and Network Connections does not. If you run
ifconfig, do you see eth0? I'm trying to
Matt,
My apologies for the confusion. My point was that I had this same issue on
12.04 that I have in 11.10.. It was my mistake in stating 11.04.
1. Current Version: 11.10
2. Yes:
[sudo] password for kevin:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:13:72:2d:f2:3c
inet addr:192.168.1.23
In this case gnome-nettool is correct and Network Connections aka nm-
connection-editor is not. Therefore I'm moving this over to network-
manager-gnome and will look first for a duplicate. Thanks for your
help.
