Joseph, I did a fresh install in a separate partition. I installed Ubuntu 10.04 again, this time the AMD64 version (the old one is x86). I still get crashes, both in the old, 32 bits and the new, 64 bits but less often and of a different nature. Now, the system freezes and I don't get the
