Indeed I didn't have this issue anymore after making various changes to the system including updates to mainline kernels. I can not tell if it is solved in the stock kernels though. I also cannot make tests because I am not working with this system anymore. You may consider it as 'works for me'.

I do have a 'regular' dock for my T61 but it has of course a parallel port as well. Freeze in resume from suspend did not occur for a while (but I am *now* using the tuxonice kernel). Instead I have occasional freezes on suspend to disk. Do not know if it can be related. -- You received this bug

My T61 was locking up on every resume from dock. I found a workaround. At the BIOS level is disabled the TPM chip and the legacy ports for the dock. I don't use any of these port/features so it is no great lose. This may be a bit overkill. Maybe just disabling one of them would have worked. If

I downloaded and installed this kernel. The system boots fine with this kernel. Unfortunately I could not collect enough information to say if the system will resume properly because the xserver has random crashes with this kernel. In fact they appear after some time when watching flash videos. A

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.4kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag(Only that
