Alright, I'll Give it a go.  I'm gonna do a little more testing.  See if
it works better with a Atheros pcmcia card.  Then I will change to the
ndiswrapper driver.

I've had the same problem with the bcm43xx driver. I noticed it can be
very flakey at times.

I suggest you try to use ndiswrapper for your driver. It made my
connections much more stable after switching to it. Hopefully it will
help you.

Alternatively you can install and configure ndiswrapper yourself. I don't like 
using other people's scripts, so I went this route, following this tutorial:

I grabbed the windows drivers from this package used for the automated
process:
