No, it's Ubuntu specific so far. Linux Mint is heavily based on Ubuntu, which is probably the reason why both are affected, so it is still a problem in Ubuntu only. Any useful information should be forwarded to the GNOME bug report, there's not much else that can be done here we have all the info.
