I have the same motherboard, and just installed Feisty Fawn. I can
confirm that it picked nv driver for X, but the X server display was
mangled (or black), and Ctrl-F1 got me to an unreadable/mangled
console. It looked a lot like UPC codes. I was able to chroot into the
partition and install

I can confirm it. Attaching screen shot of the affected window.
The expected result would be to move focus to the Parent Account area,
however, pressing Alt-P yields nothing.

I tested some more. The connection to the network is blocked everytime
openvpn is successfully started. I installed openvpn on a machine in my
local network and after staring openvpn I could ping the vpn IP but not
the normal IP of the openvpn server. knetworkmanager is not installed,
so the bug
seems to be noc special problem with knetworkmanager, cause the problem
also affects without it

I can confirm this, using Feisty Fawn and OO 2.2.0-1ubuntu3. In fact,
ALL buttons from ALL toolbars dont revert back to the normal state as

Hi. Thanks all for replying. I managed to resolve the issue by deleting
the F-Spot file in the hidden program directory in my home folder.
Finally, it's working flawlessly--and now I'm torn between F-Spot and
Google Picasa. Hope others having an issue have resolved theirs.

I have this problem too. It's very annoying. I got my IP from a AVM Fritz Box
WLAN router. The AVM guys do a good work and are not to blame that they don't

Tried to reproduce the occurrence. When selecting some part of the
filename text, if I click and hold the mouse button over it, I can
actually move the selected text around. I can, for example, move the
text to the begining or end of the filename. After trying several

Testing 2.6.20-15 and 2.6.20-12 fail when trying to 'cp
/media/cdrom0/mpegav/avseq01.dat .' with permission denied. As root user I get
Input/output error.
'dd if=/dev/sr0 of=image.foo' also fails with an Input/output error with both
2.6.20-15 and 2.6.20-12.

I got it work in Feisty final.
On installed feisty system, there is interface called eth1 that HAS wireless
extension and works Ok.
Only on feisty liveCD, there is interface called wlan0 that has still problem
described in this bug.

so I have tested compiz and it seems to be fixed for me now :-)

This happens to me on my PC with my Logitech Cordless Desktop S510 usb
keyboard. Using the included legacy PS/2 dongle works fine, but won't
help people with newer motherboards that won't have PS2 ports.

Exact same errors trying to install CentOS 4 server cd. Feisty install
from today, module is loaded, etc. Interestingly it installs FreeBSD ok.
