Although this may ultimately be a bug with the proprietary nVidia
driver, I believe Ubuntu should refuse to turn on that proprietary
driver for use with the named nVidia video card (and any other
problematic cards). That feature/fix may very well need to go into the
restricted-manager.

Yup, I was around the same thing, and utterly came to the same
conclusion. This patch is deeper than the one we tried to port. Knowing
some C wasn't enough without really understanding the driver structure.

I am also seeing this issue, for amarok 1.4.5-0ubuntu7 in feisty.
Opening a stream results in the error dialog. After clicking on a
local mp3 file in the playlist and then trying the stream again, it
plays ok.

(1) without udev, static device
* Major have to be 250: kqemu-common version 1.3.0~pre11-4 contains

Just upgraded fron edgy to feisty and the same things happen to me.
I confirm that i can ping from host to guest and back, but i cannot use
from the guest, eg, putty to the ssh server of the host, nor browse the
host samba shares from the guest.
I've tried to fiddle with netwprk parameters

The problem is that networkmanager overwrites the routes from openvpn. So both
commands are wokring as root, because networkmanager do nothing in this case.

rebooting will not complete while notebook is running on battery.
Every works normally on AC power, after removing from AC power, allowing to
suspend, recovering from suspend, and then rebooting results in an incomplete
reboot... hangs and will not restart. must power
Dapper, Edgy: Everything was fine, tty's was working correctly, also usplash
was okay.
Feisty: tty's messed up. I have had to change to vga=791, because 1280x800
framebuffer is not supported by my hardware/drivers...

The example trigger no such error on my desktop, /usr/include/evolution
has doesn't list any e-msg-composer.h, are you sure you are using the
Ubuntu version and you don't have a local copy somewhere?
