Your little hack seems to have saved me a lot of time reinstalling and so on

I don't know Debian/Ubuntu packaging system well (I'm just about to learn it;),
so bear that in mind;)
But I fixed that on my Hardy installation by issuing the following commands as
root:
mkdir -p /usr/share/apps/d3lphin/servicemenus/
touch
It must me the software updates, but this issue is not troubling me
anymore. I can't pin point which update resolved it, but I had the
problem until about a week back. Yesterday I noticed it was all fine.
POST finishes without any problem when restarting from Hardy.

I am using linux mint darnya
When I launch a terminal there is not text and I cannot type in it. I can
click around and get menus but I cannot see where to click and I must do so by
guessing. I have ctrl alt bckspc and also completely
I've tried to reproduce the bug, but I can't do it
I don't have 3D desktop and the screen capture works perfect with many windows
opened (tested on Ati X200 Radeon with non-propietary drivers).
We don't know about their video card or amount of memory.

I couldn't confirm this on my Gutsy installation.
I used the same steps that adw used, but hitting TAB after
tar tfSPACETAB
autocompleted a t and hitting TAB again gave me tgz and test.tar as
the completion options.
So I typed
mkdir test
cd test
touch test.tar
touch tgz
tar tfSPACETAB
and I

I was also unable to confirm the original reports steps. I am able to
confirm Jim J's reply.
tar tfTAB
does not offer any items, however:
tar tfSPACETAB does offer items for completion as expected.

I think the problem occurred once when I was not playing the game (it keypress
UP repeatedly).
And twice while I was playing the game (it keypress LEFT repeatedly)

I recently upgraded (using software update) to Audacity 1.3.4-beta. I run
Ubuntu Gutsy.
I now find that I am unable to change the volume of recording or playback using
