made a full rollback to dapper drake 6.06-1 on the machine. The 8139 works at a
glance, fullspeed with fast pings and transfers.
There seems to be changes in the kernel that produce the bug. The chipset ist
Intel i915 (ICH4), the NIC is a RTL-8139C. Found some mailings in the web with

- Notice that the display brightness is reduced as the laptop is running on
battery
- Put the laptop to a suspend mode

I recently reinstalled my toshiba p100 laptop from Dapper to Hardy...
Recently, I also changed my HDD for a WD Scorpio 320Gb.

bug in adobe flash. As the problem doesn't occur in firefox 2 or opera

This problem is still there under ubuntu Hardy 8.04 (LTS... but with present
settings, my HD will not last 3 years!).
I've a brand new HDD, a WD scorpio 320Gb. Hardy hdparm -B defaults to 128 even
on AC power, leading this drive to have heads parked/unparked every minutes.

I figured out the problem!
Evolution crashes when trying to retreive the incorrectly archived items from
public folders.
The reason why it crashed at startup was that the broken public folder was
added to my favorites. It seems to be a new feature of evolution exchange
plugin to display
This bug is related to a beta version of Ubuntu which is not supported.
Please try again with Gutsy final or Hardy and update this report.
